Consultation

When you or a loved one is struggling with substance abuse, it is difficult to know where to start in finding the support that will be most helpful. Understanding how challenging substance disorder treatment can be to navigate, providers at Bucks Recovery Center offers consultations that allow for unbiased recommendations for what your next best step would be. Consultations are helpful for those struggling with varying degrees of substance use and abuse. Clients can be self-referred, or a client may be referred for consultation services by their current therapist, medical doctor, or any other member of the client’s support system.
Shannon Hays, LPC, CAADC, Mark Ludwig LMFT, CAADC, and John Golden, LPC CAADC are all Master’s Level Therapists at Bucks Recovery Center with extensive experience in the treatment of drug and alcohol abuse and addiction. All three are Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselors.
The therapists at Bucks Recovery Center are committed to providing clients and their support members with clear and comprehensive recommendations regarding best-fits for treatment. All of these providers have strong working relationships with many Medication Assisted Treatment programs (MAT), Addiction-Aware psychiatric medication providers, detox facilities, Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), Half-Way Homes as well as Residential Treatment Programs. This allows for recommendations to be catered specifically to each client.
Having vetted treatment programs for their ideal clients, our providers are able to guide clients toward a placement that would best meet their needs. This often includes assessing for any co-occurring concerns, insurance and other resources, client’s age, and gender identity.
Consultations and assessments are two hours in length, allowing clients and their support members the time and space to share what they have been struggling with and what their goals are for the short and long term. The latter portion of the consultation will focus on recommendations, and a clinical summary can be provided if needed. There are also options for continued consultation services with providers at Bucks Recovery, as clients may want additional time to process what feels the most comfortable for them. These providers at Bucks Recovery Center are available to perform consultations in either office location (Buckingham and Newtown, PA), or on-site at local boarding schools, pubic or private schools, or other locations and facilities.
