All Paths To Recovery
Here at the Bucks Recovery Center we do things a bit differently. Rather than starting by determining for clients what their goals around drug and alcohol use should be, we support them—with compassion and respect—as they determine their own goals for themselves. We help them to explore their relationships with these substances and decide what changes, if any, they would like to make. We know from experience that different goals make sense for different people for different reasons. We recognize that there are as many paths to health, to wellness, and to recovery as there are individuals and we support folks as they move along their own individual path. We help to build motivation, develop practical strategies for managing cravings and coping with stress, and address the underlying issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief. While we incorporate cutting edge treatments including EMDR, neurofeedback, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), we also believe in the profound healing that can happen in warm, caring relationships where people are treated as human beings first and foremost, and not problems to be fixed.
